Can anyone give me more ideas to universities simmilar to Excelsior, TESC and COSC? I am looking for more ideas to get the most credit as I transfer them in. Technology Degree - Undergrad.
American Public University offers an undergrad in IT and allows up to 90 credits in transfers. It is great if you are looking for a mix of transfer credits and regular course credit. $275 a credit hour, includes books for undergrads. http://www.apu.apus.edu/academic/programs/bachelors transfer credit center- http://www.apus.edu/TransferCredit/accepted/Undergraduate/
Athabasca University www.athabascau.ca, Ohio University's www.ohiou.edu Bachelor of Specialized Studies, and Western Governors university www.wgu.edu are mentioned in the same breath as COSC, Excelsior, and TESC.
I may be wrong, but I believe only the big three (noted in your post) will accept 100% of their degree credits via transfer*. Schools with similar programs require 30 units to be earned through their school. * For Excelsior you may be required to take a one unit course if you don't have an equivalent course already.
...other than Excelsior, TESC and COSC... are their any other colleges that allow more than 90 credits to transfer in?
Minor correction - AMU/APU undergrad tuition currently is $250/hr. and does include books. Grad tuition is $275/hr.
Northeastern Illinois University and, I believe, Chicago State University require only 15 units of residency for their Board of Governors/Board of Trustees BA programs. Eastern Illinois University and Governors State University require 20 or 24 units. Most other programs require that at least 25% (30 semester hours) of a bachelors program are done at the granting institution. Excelsior, Charter Oak and Thomas Edison are the only institutions with approval to award degrees with no residency.
