I have really been working my ass off the last few days. I just started my first semester at FHSU. I am currently taking Jazz and U.S. History since 1877. My thinking was that the Jazz class would be the easier of the two, but U.S. History is more interesting, making it easier to learn. I completed my first assignment in Jazz. I basically had to read chapters 1-3 and listen to lectors 1-3. After that it gave me a 20-question quiz. I banged it out with a 19/20. The history class is broken down in to modules. The first module includes, watching videos 1-7; reading chapters 16-22 and doing a book review on the book "Meet You in Hell." The first module is due around the first week in February. So far I have watch videos 1-4 and completed chapters 16 and 17. I have also read 4 chapters of "Meet You in Hell." Today is going to be a light day. I plan on reading chapter 18 and starting on assignment 2 of my Jazz class. I hope all of this makes since. I'm kind of doing it on the fly. So far everything has been great. I have learned a great deal over the last 4 days. It's pretty much read and review for me.
Sounds like two very interesting courses, especially because I love jazz and am also a total history junkie. Keep us updated on your progress!
I'm in the BGS program. Right now I'm just banging out some general education classes. My plan is to finish up at Roger Williams University. They have a BGS in Technology Leadership that I like. After that it's back to FHSU to work on a couple of undergraduate certificates and possibly a Master in Liberal Studies with a business or web development/e-business concentration.
