The news is hear: spammy link removed -- University of California will provide some support for this university.
Hi Ike - I tried the link you provided and it was so corrupted that it wouldn't even load. Viruses, spam, the whole "bad package." I, for one, would appreciate it if you didn't post such links in the future.
Seconded! Nice real world test for my anti-virus program and spyware snuffer, but I'd rather not give it this kind of workout. Dave
I am sorry that the link doesn't work. The link that Steve provided above works fine. It’ll take you to the same story.
Shameless Firefox plug Note that I was able to get the text of the article because Firefox blocked all that ridiculous nonsense. If you haven't tried Firefox, here's where to get it. -=Steve=-
So, in response to the actual point of the thread, I think that there's always the potential for an announcement like this to lead to something really exciting, but when someone says that a new institution will be the engine of growth for a whole continent I'll believe it when I see it. I realize this was a short article, but there were no specifics about what will be so special about this institution. I look forward to hearing more. It was interesting that they recognize what a great resource the diaspora could be. (This is a Caribbean issue as well.) Ike, are you potentially interested in participating? -=Steve=-
