And now we know why you never became a detective! Way, way off base. Try reading before presuming.

Also, Federal statute on diversity cases requires a claim of damages in excess of $75k. That doesn't contradict the fact that I offered to let the matter drop if Gist would simply apologise. Again, try reading before writing.

There is more than enough in what I posted. The issue is Constitutional rights of students, and a university's responsibility to protect them. Read the doc dump in chronological order.

I appreciate your thoughts, but for the record, I don't give a flying rat's patootie about what you or anyone else think about the specifics that led up to the case. My only interest it to provide very specific detail on one particular program and one guy's experience.

This board if full of pom-pom waiving or rants. I'm sticking my neck out, opening myself up to criticism so that folks may have the opportunity to consider a poor experience, backed with very specific facts. That is very hard to find. Even if folks disagree with me, my guess is some appreciate the opportunity to hear something other than "wow! Tin Horn Dictatorship U is now offering a Ph.D. in Burpology that is regionally accredited!" But if folks don't appreciate it, I'll somehow find the ability to live with myself. So don't worry!

BTW, the primary Constitutional issue of concern is Due Process. The 1st amend issue relates to the reason for dropping me from the course. It may or may not be included in future litigation.

It doesn't seem you were denied any process due to you under the law before being dropped from the course. You were given notice that you may be dropped well beforehand, according to your docs, right? Don't get me wrong, I think you may have been mistreated a bit here, but two points stand out to me: first, you really don't seem to have a legal case and should just let it go, and second, you appear to have brought a lot of this on yourself and some introspection is perhaps in order. I wish you the best of luck.
