Another amateurish effort, the White Pine Institute of Professional Studies makes its debut. My favorite quote on the site, regarding WPIPS' pursuit of accreditation: "We are currently in the process of applying for such status with a couple of the most reputable of these accrediting organizations." The domain was registered last month to one Scott DeVries of Belmont, MI. Mr. DeVries lists GVSU Fizzix Major Internet Solutions LLP as his registering organization. A search of Michigan business entities doesn't reveal a listing for any of these names. The none too subtle clues in Mr. DeVries' organization leads us to Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI, where there is indeed a Scott DeVries listed in the student directory. Is this a new approach to tuition financing? ------------------ Bill Gossett
My favorite part, Bill, is under the requirements for the Ph.D. It states that the doctoral dissertation must be a "minumum of 10 pages." Since they offer degrees in theology I can have that ready by in the morning. And it would be worth the $550 degree just to have a picture of the beautiful campus. Russell
The building on the website looks very much like the administration building of a state mental hospital in Massachusetts that was closed about 10 years ago. Bruce
