I am one of those people hoping to change careers at some point in the not too distant future. Though these days I see to be suffering the effects of post-accelerated semester syndrome whilst working full-time on a high-pressure project. I am not working now, but at this point my brain is fried and completing the two non-accelerated courses I already began earlier this summer is proving to be a challenge (both mentally and physically).

For any of you psychologists out there, can you offer any advice? I have never been good at the whole work-life balance equation; I tend to throw myself into the "fire" and tend to get "burned" in the process. I never seem to recognize the symptoms of mental exhaustion until it is basically too late.

I also needed a different answer not available in your survey...I am a senior non-commissioned officer who is active duty Army and will retire in a little over three years and felt that the more education I have the better my chances for finding a second career. I am currently pursuing an MBA online.

Well, the point was that I was going to school on Daddy's nickel and I wasn't man enough to figure out how to round up $600 each for those last two Finance classes.
