Western Washington Intnat'l Closes

On June 29, 2001 Western Washington International University, LLC. was incorporated in the State of Hawaii. Its corporate office address was actually located in military housing. Its officers and directors were located in Georgia, Florida and Pennsylvania. Its principal, however, was not listed as an officer or director on public records. His name is Amir Islam of Norcross, Georgia.

On July 20, 2001 WWIU initiated its website. In early August, WWIU began advertising its services on the internet through postings on various bulletin and discussion boards aimed at non-U.S. markets.

On August 14, the Office of Consumer Protection of the State of Hawaii invited WWIU's officers and directors to demonstrate that it was in compliance with Hawaii law. In response, one of the directors wrote requesting his name be removed from the public records. Mr. Islam responded that WWIU was facing "management and operational issues" and that an article of termination would be filed.

On August 27, 2001 Articles of Termination for WWIU were indeed filed. The website has been taken down. WWIU's toll-free number no longer is in service and its email addresses no longer function.

As a result, The Office of Consumer Protection is closing its file on WWIU at this time.
