Hello, newbie here. Wondering if anyone has any experience with Walden's Masters programs (either Psychology or Health Sciences)? If so, how do you feel the online component classes compare w/ classroom based classes? Any other tips/advice provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jenn
Okay.. How about something more generic? Anyone attend/complete the requirements for/recieve a graduate degree from Walden? If so, how did you find the experience as a whole? TIA
I have not completed any of their coursework. However, I have an employee enrolled at Wladen. He likes the coursewokr and feels very posiitve about the schools support for the process.
Hi Jenn, I am currently pursuing a MEd in Leadership at Walden. I find the program to be excellent and very affordable .... relativelly speaking. Walden seems to have their act together as far as organization. Their "classooms" are easy to manage, their personnel are qualified, and the workload is reasonable. I like the fact that their price includes the textbooks and other reading material. We also use DVDs as supplemental material. I received my BS from UOP, and I have to say that Walden, as a whole, offers as good a product, if not better in some areas. So far I am pleased with them. I am into my third class .... seven more to go! Aldo
Re: Okay.. I remember reading about someone from Walden being turned down for licensure in Arizona who appealed it and lost; Walden is still not APA approved these days I wonder?
Here in NY you qualify for clinical, school and counseling licensure with a Ph.D. from Walden. My best guess re: APA accreditation has something to do w/ the residency requirements (hours) required by the APA. Walden's curriculum itself seems pretty rigorous.
Walden I am in the PhD program in Public Health. It is a regionally accreditied school. It has a very rigorus program. I am well pleased with the school. Wanda
