We have had discussions about how to handle chemistry lab work in DL programs. In this light, the following is interesting: Virtual lab brings chemistry to life. Here's the BYU website: Virtual ChemLab.
Lab Work via Company Facilities Gert, you bring up an instersting topic in DL concerning Lab work. I ran accross an interesting blurb in my Alumni pub from Youngstown State that may have a future application in DL. YSU established a new "Associate of Technical Studies" program with a concentration in Utility Technology. They signed an agreement with First Energy Corporation. YSU will enroll between 12 to 15 students for the Fall term. These students will take their Lab work at a First Energy facility for the first two-and-a-half days of the week and they will take coursework at YSU campus the other two-and-a-half days of the week. If this scheme works out, I can see an application to DL via school/institution agreements. Regards, Dick
