Any opinions on or experience with the following programs from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville? Master of Engineering, with Engineering Management emphasis Master of Project Management Graduate certificate in Engineering Management Graduate certificate in Project Management Thanks, Mark
Mark, The MS in Project Management director and I have had several really good dialogs. They seem to be responsive, I have not taken any classes yet as I am working on another degree presently but have been working with them on transfer credits. That plus they give you 6 semester hours if you have a PMP makes the program attractive. The cost is high. Another option is the Western Carolina Masters in Project Management, The program is AACSB accredited. 6 six semester hour classes. about the same cost unless you live in the state. That's about all the info I have right now.
Thanks, Kevin. I'm interested in UWP because of their certificate programs that can later be applied to a Masters. I see it as an opportunity to test the waters, so to speak, without having to commit to a full program, and still have something to show for the effort. In fact, there appears to be enough overlap in the Eng. Mgt. and Proj. Mgt. certificates that one could apply either certificate to either Master's program. Just the ticket for the terminally undecided. I'm not too concerned about the cost, as my employer has a tuition reimbursement plan that'll pay 75% of the tuition and 100% books. Cheers, Mark
Mark, you're welcome. you may also want to look at Florida Institute of Technology. (Florida Tech) They have a similar concept. Regards, http://segs.fit.edu/academics/degrees/
