Hi all, Have anyone some info or experience regarding the BSc in computing degree completion program at the University of Portsmouth (http://www.tech.port.ac.uk/tex/courses/olbcomp.htm)? It seems to me like an interesting programme, but I have been unable to find any valoration about it. I would appreciate any comment regarding this programme. Thank you very much, Daniel.
University of Portsmouth Dear Daniel, Hi there, University of Portsmouth has an excellent accreditation you can use this degree anywhere.I am in the final stages of completing Msc in Applied Computing, and I find the professors are very good. Finally hope your computing career is good. Respectfully, Stae.
I am enrolled in this program http://perseus.herts.ac.uk/prospectus/faculty_ei/dep_com/mg_computer_science/c_computer_science_direct_entry_online.cfm . Check it out.
Thank you very much for your replies, I appreciate it. Adelx2, May I ask you what qualificatios did you have when you were admited to this program? I am interested on this because I am from Spain, so my previous academic work (part of the spanish equivalent to the BSc in CS) do not fit well with the prerrequisites stated into UH website. Thank you again, Daniel.
In their site, they wrote "Applicants must have completed 240 credits from an HND in Computer Studies, Diploma, Degree or equivalent qualification from abroad." so you are not required to have HND. when I applied I had about 80 credits from Kansas State University. after reviewing my credits, they told me that it is equivalent to HND. the best thing you do is sending an email to Carole Pusey. she is a wonderful lady. give her your previous academic work and she will tell you whither you qualify or not. Best luck
