Hi all! I'm new here.. and have no idea what I'm doing. I'm looking into a degree at the University of London. I don't know much about the university and was wondering if anyone knew whether it is accredited or not?

    Thanks!

It's a very old school with a very good reputation. You needn't worry about accreditation in this case.

The University of London invented the concept of degrees by distance learning in the early part of the 19th century, so that Brits who were posted overseas could get a good British degree, and not one of those silly American, Canadian, Australian (etc.) ones. They also pretty much invented the idea of credit (and degrees) based entirely on passing exams. My first longer publication in this field, 1974, was almost entirely based on the U of L -- early title was "How to earn a prestigious British degree without leaving America." The university was very cooperative, and allowed me to reproduce samples of many of their exams. They had the field pretty much to themselves until the University of South Africa came along in the early 20th century. And it was pretty much just those two (in the English language) until the 1960s when everything exploded and now everybody and his sister is offering distance and online degrees.
