I'm trying to decide between a bachelors degree in Information Technology from UMass Lowell, or a degree from Colorado Tech University, Information Technology - Specialization in Security I have about 60 credits to transfer in. I know Umass is a non-for profit state university, where CTU is a for profit company. Tuition at both is within my budget so that's not a factor. Would choice would look better on a resume? (IT security field) TIA
Without looking at the programs, I would go with UMass but you should pick the one that has a program that best fits your goal.
I agree with Dr. Randell. If name recognition is important to you, then UML otherwise choose best one fit your interests.
Between the two choices and given your field, the choice doesn't matter. At the UG level the degree is a checkbox unless you're talking about a name brand school. Just make sure it's regionally accredited. Worry more about the school you get a grad degree from.
