So I usually do my homework with the television going in the background, and lately I've noticed a huge flux of military recruiting commercials on TV and I'm amazed how their marketing the military. Both the USAF & USN commercials play more like scenes from a video game, glorifying aspects of the service in almost cartoon like fashion. Maybe I'm getting older, but I just don't get it. You'd think they have to realize that most of the video gaming youth have a weight problem and couldn't get in. So why wouldn't they target a different median? Don't get me wrong, I love being in the military and more than likely once I finish my degree I will be going back in. But these commercials just crack me up . . .
It is all about modern warfare jobs because of innovation. In the reality, they don't do that at the real job in Military.
yep, black ops. My teen loves that game (which we don't own) but he plays it with his friends. My husband had a couple guys TAKE THE DAY OFF WORK when one of those games came out. So, I actually think they are probably on target.
My two boys play the heck out of video games and are in crazy good shape. Jennifer we miss school and work for COD games. I love my xbox.
You folks may not realize it, but most branches of the military (in several countries) actually have THEIR OWN video games. (None of which were mentioned above) check this Wiki link under "Video Games" Recruitment tool - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
