Has anyone taught at UMUC? I'm curious what they pay - I've been able to gather pay rates for all of the other universities that I'm interested in, but have been unable to locate anything on UMUC - apparently mum's the word. Feel free to send me a private message or post a general range. Thanks.
UMUC Pay I teach with UMUC and it remains a great mystery to me, too. I make something like $2400 a class but it is based on how many you've done and your background. There is not, to my knowledge, any posted pay scale for UMUC. I did find out they would pay me about $700 more for a doctorate. Hey, if anybody knows the written payscale for UMUC faculty POST IT HERE, ok? 'cause I teach there and don't know it.
I don't know how difficult it is to get on with them, but I know that they really expect a terminal degree. As an accountant, you can teach with a MBA/MS and a CPA, but they still prefer the doctorate. I'm a student at UMUC - I've taken a few graduate accounting courses. I do have a great contact in the graduate accounting department, so I hope that once I complete my degree next month and pass the CPA exam, I'll have a decent chance, but I dont know....

I am curious about teaching online too. What are generally the requirements to teach classes online. Is one that holds a bachelor degree enough credentials because I am very interested in teaching computer classes online at a community college or university.
