StraighterLine to FHSU to TESC or Excelsior Would someone please update this thread after they have successfully transferred credits from StraighterLine to FHSU to TESC or Excelsior? Thank you.
Just out of curiosity, have you tried to contact the schools in question and simply ask them if they accept these credits? Conversely, you could contact straighterline and ask them if they have a record of their credits being accepted at these schools.
I am looking for firsthand knowledge from students. I have tried to contact TESC, but they will not give me the time of day because I am not enrolled. If an enrolled student did call either of the schools, my guess would be if they called each of them several times with the same question, they would get conflicting answers. Several people have taken courses with StraighterLine and used FHSU as a partner school and will be transferring credits to TESC or Excelsior. I am interested in their firsthand experience. Thanks.
OK. I'm sorry that information is so hard to come by. I would hope that these schools would be more responsive but it seems that it's hard for them to keep up with the advances in their own field. At the same time, I don't think that it's unuual for schools to take a dim view of working hard to answer the questions of people who are not enrolled. Time is money and you haven't paid any money. Maybe they think that means that you're not entitled to any time. I hope that some of our members can help you with your questions.
Yes, time is money. At the same time, great customer service is money. I would go to Excelsior or Charter Oak if they had a B.A. in English.
I ended up at the school because of the major as well. Can't say I have enjoyed my TESC experience at all lol They served a purpose and I got what I wanted out of the school, but the customer service is not their strong point.
I recently had a very conducive convo with this guy at FHSU with regards to straghterline. He basically said that once I finish the course at straighterline, there should be no problem. He also said that alot of faculty at FHSU are unaware of straighterline since it is a new operation but I guess he handles straighterline personally. Contact him if you like.
