If I recognize that there are heroin users and dealers in our communities and I discuss this and make note of how they obtain their drugs, get around the law, etc. I am not "supporting their mindset," and for you to say that I am supporting that mindset is a deliberate lie on your part. I am capable of discussing many issues from multiple perspectives without necessarily subscribing to any of them. As for what is legal and what is ethical, these are both concepts that change not only from one place to the next but also from one time to another. You talk about them as if you have cornered the market on what is ethical when in reality you just follow the rules that someone else has made in the place where you live. Those rules are quite different in other places and this is another reason that such schools continue to exist. There are, I'm sure, states and countries where what is illegal in your town may be perfectly acceptable.

Not a lie whatsoever but an impression based on the fact that you presented your position as actual possibilities for getting around the system to achieve one's end. In fact there was nothing in any of your posts regarding this subject that suggested otherwise. You appeared to be subscribing to a certain perspective, nothing more, nothing less, with no inference or indication that you were merely talking out about multiple perspectives with subscribing to them!

"I am capable of discussing many issues from multiple perspectives without necessarily subscribing to any of them. As for what is legal and what is ethical, these are both concepts that change not only from one place to the next but also from one time to another."

Of course you can discuss many issues from multiple perspectives without subscribing to any of them but that is not what you did! You were offering potential options for getting around the system and there was absolutely NO indication that indicated you were doing otherwise.

"You talk about them as if you have cornered the market on what is ethical when in reality you just follow the rules that someone else has made in the place where you live."

Please notice that I do not call your statement above a deliberate lie but you are off the mark entirely. You are obviously not a professional in the mental health field, do not know the extent of my knowledge base pertaining to this subject or the general rules and statutes of professional ethical conduct and behavior pertaining to the majority of states in the US. Most significantly, you are not aware of my experiences regarding Sports Psychology doctorates! So rather than draw premature conclusions regarding what I know and don't know, or call me a liar, it would be helpful to ask!

"Those rules are quite different in other places and this is another reason that such schools continue to exist. There are, I'm sure, states and countries where what is illegal in your town may be perfectly acceptable."

However, the gist of this discussion is not on the legitimate use of questionable doctorates in my state or any other BUT on YOUR presenting a position throughout your posts on this thread, which you initiated, that obviously appeared to support the means to getting around the system by using different titles to enable one to practice as a Sport Psychologist.

In sum, I am not a mind reader as to your intent and to expect one to be so is unrealistic.

If you had been here on this forum for more than 5 minutes and haven't noted my long standing position against degree mills then it's just because you're not paying attention. You are now officially boring me.
