I used to think that way myself. Until I fell victim to hindsight 20/20 thinking the grass was always greener. Sometimes we spend too much time looking at what others have achieved, and we lose sight of what we have and what is really important.

What if AUT feels money is very important to him? Is he wrong? What if he is happy earning money and providing value to those around him? What if the things he truly enjoys in life can only be purchased through monetary means? That makes him a bad guy?

Money is a tool, nothing more nothing less.

Yes, but don't you just love tools?

Not at all. I love money and I love what you can do with it. It provides options and choices. The problem (for me anyway) is when the decision to make more of it starts to get in the way of somethings that provided greater happiness. When that point comes there is an imbalance.

Are you a lawyer? I just thought that.

Therein lies the rub. It's an actual economics issue that you answer for yourself. Basic Econ 101. Opportunity costs. Answer that question and you're on your way to greater equilibrium. I like you trying to answer that question for yourself than repeating some Pop-Evo-Psych gobbley gook that is not even fit to print on that stupid picture hangning in the Corporate drone office of the dog riding the boat.

I agree - how about all the salaries listed and no degree or an AA/AS :)

Did not have room - 10 options was the max. Maybe you can can create another survey that just deals with AA/AS or no degree and add in those combos with certifications for the IT folks.
