    Good evening,

I was wondering if anybody knew where you could become a licensed real estate agent via online learning? My wife wants to pursue this. We live in Texas. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately this program only leads to licensure in certain states. Maryland, my state, is not one of them!!!

    You can try

    Cooke Real Estate School

The link above takes you to their site for Florida, but they have a menu item for other states.

They have both online and CD-ROM courses for most states I believe. It appears that, for Maryland, they have only online courses and I don't know if those courses meet all of the requirements for Maryland licensure. Cooke does list the specific requirements by state on their website. So you'll have to compare what they offer with those requirements.

The courses from Cooke do meet all of the requirements for sitting for the real estate agent licensing exam in Florida.

I used www.recampus.com for my Florida RE license. You can find the list of participating Texas schools at:

    http://www.dearborn.com/recampus/recampusmap.asp?link=1&lststate=TX#req

    University of Texas at Austin

Welcome to The University of Texas at Austin, which offers online Real Estate Salesperson courses approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). REcampus.com is a virtual university complete with comprehensive online real estate courses and materials

    Good luck!
