I saw that and thought it would be a lot of fun to spend a weekend/month in SD. The one thing I absolutely hate about distance learning is the lack of opportunity to look someone in the eye and whiteboard up spur of the moment ideas. For me, I can't imagine doing a distance learning doctorate without the benefit of several face-to-face meetings. Also, the fact that the program is not open-admissions is a plus. This is one problem I have with Nova.

On the other hand, I spoke the the faculty member who is in charge of this program (Dr. El-Gayar) and he told me that I would have to take several prerequisites if I were to pursue this program. So I have to decide whether I like this program enough to take 5-6 extra courses.

    FYI

Basic info about the CTU DCS website can be found at...more detail is available from CTU upon request: http://cs.coloradotech.edu/degree_programs/wrapper_doctoral.asp?page=/includes_shared/degree_programs/doctoral/dcs.asp

One member of the CTU CS faculty is Bo Sanden. He has a fair number of research papers on proquest and even more listed in his resume. Used to teach at George Mason.
