Which school....if it was between the UofP and Walden university, would be the better choice for an online mba...?
both are very expensive... there are other cheaper, as good or better schools out there. Search these threads for cheapest MBA and you will learn of them.
i appreciate your response.....after extensive research....those two schools fit all aspects of my criteria...including there very lax entrance requirements considering my gpa was below average...and my three year bachelor degree from canada...so of those two...what would be the better choice?
If I were choosing between these two schools. I would probably go with Walden over U of P. My rationale: I think that there is less of a stigma attached to Walden. U of P gets a bad rap because they over promote themselves and the quality of the instruction is perceived to be very low. All that being said there are a number of other MBA programs that have "easy" entry requirements and are less expensive. If those were my two choices (and they wouldn't be), I would go with Walden. Granted, no one will have ever heard of them, but that may be better than what people have heard about UOP. Walden does have a long history in distance learning. We've heard few/no complaints about them either here or on AED. Tom Nixon
If you're set on one of these two, I would have to agree with those who've posted before me -- go with Walden. They've been into DL for a long time and people who have heard of them tend to consider Walden to be a "real" school. UofP is legit, but I've found some folks have a less than favorable impression of them because of the advertisements. We've also had several current and former UofP students post disparaging messages here about the school's "academic rigor" (or lack thereof).
As for most of the above, my first choice would be neither, but after that probably Walden over Phoenix. but if you do have a Canadian Undergrad why not the Athabasca On-line MBA ?
thanks for the insight......also....the usq mba is about 15 thousand cheaper (cdn) than walden,.......how are australian degrees viewed in north america....?.....if they are viewed in the same or similar light.....i dont know if i could justify spending those extra dollars......
