    UMUC is not RHSMith

The high ranking MBA program at UMD's Robert H Smith School of Business does not offer online classes. UMUC's MBA is completely different and not affiliated with the Univ of Md., but it is accredited.

I am in my forth class at Regis and so far it has been very good. The work is rigorous, so I feel like I really am earning my degree. The faculty and the folks at the University Alliance have also been very helpful. My only complaint would be that it is a little pricey and that it is hard to buy your books from anyone else but the UA and the cost of the books tends to be expensive. But if you can hook up wiht someone who is a step ahead of you in the program and buy your books from them, that could save some money!

    Cost Effective MBA

I already hold two graduate degrees. To move up to the end of my community college faculty pay scale, I could have either gotten a doctorate or another grad degree. In my opinion, a doctorate for a community college faculty member is about as useful as teets on a bull unless you plan on getting into higher level administration, something I have no interest in whatsoever.

I selected an MBA online. The most cost effective online MBA I found was the one I selected: Morehead State University. Here is the web site: http://www.morehead-st.edu/colleges/business/mba/

And they are well on their way to AACSB blessing. Oh, they are also developing an AACSB online MSIS. Keep watching Morehead.

    moorehead st.

Tuition for out of state residents has risen to $313 per unit...not the least expensive option.
