I just finished it all! 330 pages of reading, a hefty statistics assignment and 6 quizzes in a little less than one week. I've worked on it several hours each day and about 10 hours today. Can you imagine 330 pages of reading statistics? That was onerous! I emailed the prof to say that it was a bit much and got no reply. (he probably just laughed an evil laugh) I think it must have been sort of a shakedown for this class because the rest of the 8 weeks look pretty normal for an online class.

Just got my statistics assignments back, which was to compute a bunch of stats and write a hypothetical Results section for a dissertation. Got an "A" on the Results section. Got 4 "A's" and two "B's" on the six tests. Whew, glad that's over!

Wow, turn it in on Sunday night and get it back graded on Tuesday morning. What a great online professor this one is. By the way, I found out that he is not the one who designed the course with huge workload, he got it canned just like most online classes and he had to follow the format, just like we had to follow it.

I'm not sure you were actually expected to read the full 330 pages. I could be wrong.

If I had faced that assignment, I would have skimmed the pages. Make note of subject headings, illustrations, and key points. Then move on to the assignments, returning to the reading material as needed to clarify information needed to complete the assignments.

Of course, it may not have turned out as well for me as it did for you. Kudos on the excellent outcome!

Thanks, Geebee. Yea, I would have skimmed and sped through it for any other subject, but stats is pretty weak for me, so I needed to slog through it page by page. It was gruesome. But maybe I'm one tiny bit stronger in stats for it.

The most impressive part is getting 4 As and 2 Bs at the graduate level in a subject you are supposedly weak in.
