Hello everyone- My wife wants to return to the workplace, and she would like to complete some sort of certificate online that allows her to brush up on MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. I am looking for some type of program that could help her, but the one's I have found (Such as Penn Foster) either get to technical--beyond the scope of what is needed, or, don't cover all office applications, or are too "secretarial"--including a bunch of stuff about good grammar, and office presence. Has anyone seen a program out there that might be a good fit? Thanks for your help!
My situation is same as yours. I too would be ineterested in advice from people on this forum. Thanks
Don't know if this will fit the need... ...but it might be worth a looksee. www.gvtc.org Georgia Virtual Technical Colleges They have Diploma programs and Associate of Applied Technology degree programs. Ron

Has she considered the MOUS certification from Microsoft? http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/officespecialist/requirements.asp#office2003 Many of the testing companies offer their own coursework and I've known more than a few folks who've done this one by self-study. just a thought

Penn-Foster Has several PC and career options, good prices. I should note that I have not done any of these, but I am in their AAS program
Thanks everyone! BTW--my wife and I decided to enroll her in the Penn Foster "PC Specialist" certificate. After a lot of research, nothing was an exact fit, but the Penn Foster program offered most of what she wanted, offered open enrollment so she could begin right away--and the price was reasonable. Jim
