Sorry to post another *versus* thread, but I really would like some general opinions. Of course, the best answer is to choose whats best for you, so here's what I'm looking for: I would like a degree that would: - set me apart from other techs moving into mgmt - come from a school with a good business rep - come from a school with a good CS/MIS/IT rep - make my resume standout for tech mgmt positions I realize NYU's MSMS is from the Continuing Ed school, while Indiana's MBA is from Kelley. Since both are aprox the same $$$, what would you go for?
Go to Indiana. Although it takes time to reap the networking rewards of any top B-school, inn a distance program you'll never reap more than name recognition and the degree. In other words, I say three benfits are better than just two. --Orson
Although NYU is ranks higher than Indiana, if I were you, I will go with Indiana University because of the following reasons: 1. Indiana University's MBA program is accredited by AACSB whereas NYU's MSMS is not. 2. MBA may be more marketable than MSMS.
UMass? Thanks folks. The UMass Isenberg MBA has also caught my attention. I know the Isenberg rep is rising in the rankings (if that means anything). How much of an attention grabber is the Isenberg MBA on a resume? (compared to an MSMS from NYU)
