Does anyone have experience with these programs? I am puzzled because, apparently, New York Institute of Technology, a well established, not-for-profit, private B & M institution has arranged with (bought from?) Cardean a turnkey online program. Any thoughts?
I can only tell you that I am currently a student at Ellis and think that the online interface is great. My guess is that it was cheaper to purchase a turnkey solution than try and develop their own. My only complaint so far is the cost, it is quite expensive compared to som of the other distance programs I have researched.
Ellis College is a joint venture of NYIT and Cardean. It has the accreditation of the former, and the resources of the latter. Pretty smart. -=Steve=-
And NYIT is very good name to put in your resume. I just wish the tuition was more affordable. If that was the case, I wouldn´t think twice about enrolling.
I will be finishing my M.B.A. in two weeks from Ellis/NYiT. I can honestly say the coursework was great, challenging at times, and I feel that there was a great deal of learning on my part. There are also some negatives to the school which you can probably pick up if you register for a guest pass on their homepage... There are many discussion postings with students voicing their concerns. One positive thing I will say is that they actively work to correct issues that students bring up on that medium. Expensive yes, well worth it? Definitly.
