Hi eveybody, and happy new year to all! I had just finished up a rough semester of "Research" and a hetic holiday season. So I figure that I start out the new year with a poll about New Year's Resolutions, just to see where everybody's thinking is at for the new year!!!
My first choice, "Voting in a Dr. Gina Poll" wasn't represented, but I guess I have already fufilled that.
How about Just Getting a Job? 1. Learning enough Latin to read Harrius Potter et Philosophi Lapis - that may stretch into 2005. 2. Vote against Bush - my last chance 3. Continue searching for that perfect, inexpensive DL Ph.D. program - right! 4. Continue working on my first Million Dollars - its a killer. 5. Maintain my warped sense of humor - because life is fatal.
THIS one. But there'll be others. Or as one wag put it, pushing George W. instead of Jeb was like Don Corleone NOT passing over Fredo in favor of Michael.
Is that like saying: Fool me once (Bush 1) shame on you, fool me twice (Bush 2) shame on me, but fool me three times ...
I have a resolution that is also not on the list, but I thought I'd share it here. I know that this will put many people into shock, so if you're not sitting down already, this might be a good time . . . For 2004, I resolve . . . to be nice to Rich Douglas.
I don't think I've been nasty to Rich but there might be a few others who deserve better treatment. Oh yeah, and I reallyreally need to do more writing this year. Jack
I made my 2004 resolution in December of 2000, just after all chads in Florida had been accounted for: To Vote Republican in the 2004 Presidential election. Please allow me to reaffirm my commitment to this resolution!!!
It's nice to see most are interested in starting their DL Degrees like me. The Saint Regis choice was tempting as I'm a joker and was tempted to check it but wanted to keep the voting poll accurate. I say replace the Saint Regis choice with "No current goals" instead!!!!
