I saw on CSPAN that Mark Warner, Goverernor of Virginia, is contemplating a 2008 run for President.

Interesting sidebar: Governor Warner's successor, Tim Kaine, is married to former Governor Linwood Holton's daughter, Anne.

So this will be her second time living in the governor's mansion, once as a Republican and now as a Democrat.

I think if they put someone out there with IDEAs they might have a shot. If they continue with the non stop whinning and crying no dem will do well, especially with the Iraqi Election. I dont know enough about the guy to make any judgements, outside of party loyalty. The more the merrier in my opinion. I just want a dem who cant debate so I can see them eat the evil women for lunch...

He's been talked about for a while. When Kaine won, in his victory speech he made an oblique reference to Warner doing just that.

Warner's been a successful Democratic governor in a Republican state, and he left office highly regarded by the electorate. I don't see why not him.

I agree Steve. He is highly regarded, and he would be a good contender as a well respected Centrist.
