You are in good hands here...all advice is excellent and I'm glad you are following up. My addition to the mix is this:

You CAN do this and you can do it YOUR way and to meet YOUR personal goals!

Just take your time.

Get a glass of a nice cool drink, put up your feet, and start putting all the puzzle together. Make a list of all the sites/schools mentioned..look up everything and, first and foremost, envision what you are looking for! If you can name it, you can find it.

While you are about it, put Excelsior back at the top of your list. It may not, ultimately, meet your needs, but, I'm betting with your business and nursing background, it might. Looked at their BS Business? Keep in mind that your knowledge of nursing (and related subjects) can net you 27 credits on written tests, then there is the Abnormal Psychology and other things you know (CLEP, etc). (I understand you are not interested in the BSN so stay away from the Proficiency exams but, depending on how your distribution requirements stack up, you may be able to get Baccalaureate credit for much of your current knowledge in written tests.) Look for the posts on this site two characters and their Oddysey (sp?) with CLEP...it will give you hope and strengh.

I have great sympathy and understanding for your day to day work situation. I also understand your experience in business and your need to find your right place in the world. Please feel free to PM me if you want to discuss options beyond nursing that use all that you know. I may have been there.
