I just landed my first adjunct position with ITT Tech, super excited. I'll be teaching 2 classes to start. I have been reading the troubles fellow members are having landing a adjunct gig, my advice, Tailor your resume to highlight your training experience. I have no education experience outside of serving a sub in an elementary school. Most of my experience is in corporate training and IT management. Press on
As someone who's part of the hiring process at my institution, I would agree with that advice. Also, put your degrees on top. Don't make me look for them to see whether you have a doctorate or not. After all, I'm going to figure it out eventually anyway. Also, if you're applying for an adjunct teaching position, your research, however amazing, isn't a factor, so send me a two page resume, not a ten page CV. (Sorry, but it's true.) -=Steve=-
