    Some info:

Here is a guy on contract to the FAA (according to his resume) with a B.S. from Columbia State U. - http://www.thewrightspage.com/Net_Docs/Tech_Resume.doc

Here is an interesting article on what happen to a policeman after his degree was found to be bogus. by 20/20 back in 1998. He claims he was out of money and a lot of work. http://www.thecitizennews.com/main/archive-981223/news/in-05.shtml

Finally, has anyone heard of St. John's University online. They claim to have been around since 1969. They do not list any accreditation but are licensed in the stated of Louisiana (we know how stringent that has been. :D ) They have a psych professor whose Ph.D. is from Columbia State. Catalog can be found at: http://www.sjuonline.com/SJU_Catalog2001a.pdf

I don't know what is more depressing.....that the Chief allegedly didn't know he was participating in a scam (which I think is a lie due to his assertions that he did work) or that the city bought his bogus degree.

I was even more depressed to learn that Fayetville, N.C. (a fair-sized city) doesn't require any college education for its Police Chief.

As for Saint John's, I personally think it's a joke. In a previous thread, I took the time to count the faculty, and an obscene percentage of them hold degrees from........<drum roll>....Saint John's!!!!

I agree about St. John's not too impressive other than they have been around for awhile.

I was surprised about Fayetteville myself. Comes across as more of a small town attitude for a city of its size.
