Hello, A friend is beginning her search for a graduate level program in fine arts through distance learning. Undergraduate GPA 3.5. Input and suggestions appreciated. Hille
Right away I can think of a couple of MFA programs that focus on creative writing but its not clear that this is your friends area of interest. You may have to say something more about her focus (painting, sculpture, textiles, printmaking, etc) as some MFA programs are restricted to a small number of specific media. Jack
or the theatre arts or music, etc. Anyway, you get the picture. In the meantime try the Maine College of Art. They have a DL MFA program that requires some Summer residency periods. Good luck, Jack
Monash University also has an MFA that can be done externally, though I don't know if some residencies might be required; the program focuses on visual arts, and I was only interested in a writing MFA, so I didn't follow up. Good luck! Cheers,
Goddard College offers the MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and Vermont College offers the MFA in Visual Arts. It appears that both can be tailored to art/painting. Bruce
