A never-discussed South African college offering diplomas and certs (and a couple of Bachelors) all through DL. Lyceum Correspondence College | Distance Learning South Africa
By digging all the way to a PDF fact sheet, I find out "Enquire at your nearest Lyceum campus for a current programme pricelist." Their site was trying so hard to hide this that I had to use Google site search to find it. If your fees are reasonable, you make it easy for students to find out what they are. They're not on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying 'Beware of the Leopard'.
I agree that prices should be easy to find and understand. When they're not I begin to get worried too.
I'm with you, Steve. I'm not poking the Leopard. In trying to find the fees in a roundabout way, I discovered that Damelin, INTEC and Lyceum College are under the same umbrella group - International College Group. I found a complaint page here. As always, these sites should be taken with a dangerous amount of salt, but here it is, subject to a disclaimer, caveat and all mandatory disclosures. Intec Sucks! | Who knew that Damelin / INTEC / Lyceum College are just the same “place”? J.
As I refuse to call them, I have not yet been able to find Lyceum's fees by any means, however circuitous. That's poor, as I see it. What a difference from Canada! The other day, I needed to know the fee structure for a certain career school course. I Googled (school name) (course) and Tuition cost. I landed on a Provincial Government site that had duration, fees and details for every course at every approved private school in the Province. That's the way it should be!
This is too much like the 1960s. Back then, you wanted info, so you sent in the coupon from the matchbook. The sales rep knocked on your door. A two-hour presentation ...and then the price. Not for me... J.
