License/Certification-Eligible Programs Coming to WGU?

WGU is hiring behavior analyst and addictions counselor instructors/course developers for their BS in psych. My guess is that they're adding certification/license-eligible concentrations. Even more exciting is that they're hiring course developers/instructors for an MS in psychology with a focus on clinical mental health counseling.

 

I don't know how that is possible with the requirements that licensure requires IN PERSON clinicals and IN PERSON reviews. Completely impossible to do that UNLESS at a physical campus.

How many brick and mortar offices does WGU have?

 

It sounds like they are handling it like they are in their Bachelor of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.

 

Internships and practica are done at mental health facilities whether a program is online or on ground. For WGU's nursing programs, they have preceptorship agreements.
