Is there a Graduate School (MS or MA/Phd or DPA...maybe even a certificate program) that has a Labor Relations Management focus. I am interested in learning about labor relations just for personal knowledge and to possibly make myself a better leader at work. It has to be strickly DL, no Residency and possibly very inexpensive. Any suggestions, comments, etc. will be greatly appreciated! Thanks,
Penn State offers a certificate in Labor Studies and Industrial Relations through their world campus. http://www.worldcampus.psu.edu/pub/lsir/afs_prog_desc.shtml Also, I believe that Empire State offers an MA in Labor and Policy Studies which can be completed online. http://www.esc.edu/esconline/across_esc/grad.nsf/3cc42a422514347a8525671d0049f395/34a27015246af35a8525677c006b0afd?OpenDocument
If you are looking for a good Labor relations certificate program, then I highly recommend looking into Cornell University's Ivy League labor relations certificate program at www.ECornell.com I completed a professional certification through Cornell and found the school's online programs to be highly recognized in the industry and a valuable credential. Not to mention, Labor relations is one of the key areas the school is known for. I do not think you would go wrong in this route.
