Well its over. I can't believe it. I just walked across the stage and received my Juris Doctor. You have to love the hood! I'm a bit of a lurker here but I've posted under a few different monikers and received some good advice. So I had to stop by and say thanks to everyone and of course to brag a bit. I promise my head will shrink back down to its original size tomorrow but for the moment my ego is running the show. BTW without giving too many details and since I know everyone's going to ask. It was an DL undergrad and B&M law school. Thanks everyone! Nickk
Nah - with a JD it's okay to keep a bit of a swelled head. Let me be the first to say congrats! DL underergrad to to B&M law school is a fantastic DL success story. Do you mind telling which schools? Anyway enjoy - this is a remarkable, life changing achievement. Dave
Congratulations on your achievement! It is always nice to hear about another academic success. What area of law are you intending to practice?
So your DL undergrad certainly didn't pose a problem in getting into a B&M law school. Congratulations on your new degree!
Hey thanks everyone for the replies! Jigamafloo - I don't want to get too specific for a variety of reasons. I'll just say the undergrad was an RA school with a reputation for DL and the law school is in the half of the US News Rankings. Sentinel - I was a bit lucky and found a job through on campus interviews with a mid sized law firm in a major market working in the commercial litigation department. At first I wasn't sure I wanted to do any type of litigation but after a few trial/skills based courses I was hooked and this opportunity sort of fell into my lap. Arch23 - You're right, I don't think a DL undergrad is a barrier to law school admission. I found that I gained admission to every school I should have based on my scores/background.
