Do you know of any regionally accredited community colleges with any A.A. or license programs A.A. program in bilingual education or ESL education? Or inexpensive (sub-$300) courses in TESL/TESOL, linguistics, second-language studies, bilingual education, reading, etc.?

Anaheim University (DETC) has an online TESOL certificate for $900 total (15 weeks). http://www.anaheim.edu/content/view/430/212/ Their MA in TESOL is $20,775 including all fees... more than you are asking for, but not bad for an entire MA. http://www.anaheim.edu/content/view/46/95/ ... and apparently if you register by Aug 31 and qualify for tuition relief the price will drop to $15,000.
Isn't PBS Teacherline pretty much just CEUs for current US State-licensed teachers? Is there a PBS Teacherline track in TESOL?
Consider checking out any of the links provided for PBS TeacherLine— college /university (graduate credit providers) … perhaps doing that will provide the answer to your questions (e.g., “Many PBS TeacherLine courses offer learners the opportunity to earn graduate credits.”). For example, some ELL courses via PBS TeacherLine /graduate credit provides: RDLA152: An introduction to underlying principles & research for effective literacy instruction (ELL) RDLA363: Supporting ELLs /Oral language development RDLA366: Supporting ELLs /Assessing language development RDLA373: Supporting ELLs /Vocabulary development in grades PK-3 RDLA376: Supporting ELLs /Reading fluency RDLA383: Supporting ELLs /Writing development in grades PK-3 Course Catalog : PBS TeacherLine
Thanks for the kind assumption. I did look at the links. I am a former ESL teacher abroad and was not aware that TESOL and ELL were the same.
They’re not— AND no one said they were. Nonetheless, please refer to the OP’s original inquiry … TESOL was just one of his /her economical course areas of interest. BTW, what’s being a former ESL teacher got to do with cost-effective graduate credit course tuition rate that [is] available via PBS TeacherLine and graduate credit providers? You seemingly attempt to associate PBS TeacherLine to merely CEUs. BTW as a former Texas public schools secondary principal, I’m quite familiar with TESOL /TESL, Bilingual /ESL svcs., and LEP identified students, LPACs (decision-making process /annual review), ELL, etc. and all the legal ramifications (e.g., Title III Sec. 301 Language instruction for limited English proficient children and immigrant children and youth— re NCLB 2001 identification, placement, method of instruction, assessment, annual review, exit, etc.).
Personally, I’ve never taken any of the PBS TeacherLine courses. Nonetheless, PBS’s alliance with several colleges /universities provides an economical means to acquire both CEUs and graduate credits concurrently.
