I m new to this forum and I don't have much information about online degrees.I couldn't finish my bachlors degree 10 years ago and I feel so sorry for that.I really need one now.
I live and work in Hong kong now and I can't attend any classes at the university...
An online degree is a perfect solution to my problem .Please if you could answer my questions that would be a great help :
1-I don't have a bachlors degree,It is possible to go for a masters degree and earn time?
2-what is the cheapest accredited online bachlor program?(doesnt matter what major)
3-Does the online bachlor degree allow me to continue my study as a master degree student in a regular university in HongKong?
4-Except the US universities,Are there any other online universities somewhere cheaper and still accredited?
Please help me out..I m father of 3 little girls with little money but trying hard to provide my girls with better future..tkx

The Heriot-Watt MBA would fulfill all of your requirements (except maybe 'cheap' but still not a bad deal considering other MBA programs.) There are many students in Hong Kong, and the British Council offers very good student support.

There are many schools that fit the criteria you have listed...cheap, accredited, online. Here are just a few...

    Thomas Edison State College
    Excelsior College
    Charter Oak State College
    Peru State College
    Fort Hays State University
    The University of Wyoming

  6. I don't think he wants to go to school in the US. What it sounds like he wants is a super cheap master's degree from a developing country that is legitimate. It also sounds like he doesn't want the requirement of having a bachelor's degree. Other than the latter requirement, I imagine a South African degree might be a good fit here?

James I think you should look into South Africa for a distance degree that is legitimate and affordable.

I think that thomas is right. Look to UNISA or maybe even the Open University of Malaysia (there's an Open U Hong Kong too).

Interesting courses from certs to DBA
    New to distance learning?
At first glance it looks like a BS degree would be around US$20K

Thank you all for your advices.I appreciate your help but I still need to know if is it possible to go for a master degree and skip the bachlors or is that a bad idea?

  10. Go for the bachelor's first.

The Heriot-Watt MBA does not require a bachelors degree. As for is it a "bad idea" to skip the bachelors, that all depends on what you want to do. And as I said before, they have excellent support in Hong Kong.

If you skip the Bachelor's you'll always have to explain it. Better to do one.

Yes You re right I decided to go for the bachlor 's first. I'm considering earning a degree from Exclesior by testing out. However, I've seen that CLEP and DSST don't have test centers here. What would be a solution or an alternative for me?..Anyone with a good idea?
    Thank you

According to the DSST website they do have a test center in Hong Kong
    DSST - GetCollegeCredit.com

However you can't earn enough credits through DSST alone to earn a degree.

Again it looks like U of London is very well suited to your needs.

thank you very much..the information has been helpful..I contacted U of London and The Heriot-Watt that as suggested by edowave and I like it they were kind enough to give me all the information but i would go for a bachlors first as many of you adviced and I think the excelsior would be my choice.
The thing is that I know that I m qualified for at least 3 or 4 course.I have no doubt about that and I m trying to do CLEP and DSST or any other things that exist
to save time and money for the masters at Heriot-watt.There a DSST in Hong kong and I could take a trip to Japan for the CLEP.CAN ANYONE PLEASE SUGGEST
WHAT EXAMS SHOULD I TAKE?HOW MANY CREDITS SHOULD I COLLECT ?can start from the 4 course at Excelsior or at least 3?what should be my next step?
    please help out.
    Thanks

Can I take the GRE test or is it only for those who already have Bachlors?...
Can CLEP/DANTES cover 70 % of credits needed to get my Bachlors..
Any help with this my last question..where can I learn about these things?

Yes, CLEP/DSST can cover 70% of a bachelors degree in most cases especially at Excelsior where relatively little upper level credit is required.

Excelsior, like many other universities requires 30 semester units minimum at the uper division level (although the TESC BALS seems to require only 18). That being said the Excelsior BSLS is probably the most flexible BS in the world regarding course selection.
