I'm sure that I was offered the option a year ago. Of the three options I chose the MAT because I'd taken it years before and knew that it would be the fastest way to check that box. But requirements can change, and perhaps this is one of them.

My experience was that it was diagnostic as opposed to filtering, but I think people have said the new test is a bit more than we did a year ago. In fact, if I understand correctly, it changed right after I took it.

Well a representative called me just now, and answered some questions I had about the Ph.D/Ed.D program. Unfortunately it doesn't seem worthwhile to transfer in my situation.

    1) None of my credits will transfer. The University accepts up to 18 credits (providing that they are specialty credits) So far the 9 credits that I have taken are only basic core credits.

    2) The GRE/MAT waiver only applies to candidates who have been in a managerial/or administrative position for five years or more. THis really isn't such a huge letdown as I would do reasonable well on the MAT.

In my Ed.D program the specialty credits don't come until much later on.
