Especially in the state of California? and in FL?

Lets assume that you, like discussed in another thread, want to create your own institution. If so, how much and how long would it take to get state approval? how difficult is this process? I heard that in CA its practically a joke (not that I would want to start a mill, ok?). I know that RA will take years (up to 5) and right now its out of the question.

Anyone has any specific info or concrete leads? Bear, Bill, anyone?

California State approval is not a joke, it is not at the level of RA or NA accreditation but it has merit.

If it's a joke how come SCUPS Graduates are allowed to seat for
Licensed Psychologist exams in the State of CA.

What used to be a joke is state authorized status that had very simple requirements, but long gone and most of diploma mills with it.

I personally think that CA approval is a Sate Accreditation.

As far as I know only one State can accredit Universities and it's
    the state of NY.

To answer your question - in CA it's not that simple to get approval.

Integrity, financial stability, education quality, qualified faculty and other subjects are measured during site visit, yes not web site but actual B&M site, library etc.

For more info one can write to Michael Abbott, Bureau Chief.
Bureau for private, postsecondary and vocational education.

None of CA approved school are diploma mills!!!!!!
