Hawaii Litigation Update: Academy of Natural Therapies

The State of Hawaii has settled the pending litigation against Stephen Byrnes dba the Academy of Natural Therapy.

The settlement is documented by a Stipulated Judgment and Permanent Injunction which was filed with the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawaii on March 19, 2003.

Under the terms of the settlement, Mr. Byrnes is enjoined from further operations of an unaccredited degree granting institution in, from or under the color of Hawaii law.

Mr. Byrnes has also agreed to offer full restitution to any individual who enrolled in or made payment to ANT and has also paid a civil penalty of $5,000.
