Ah Randell, master of vague questions.

    1. Did he earn a PhD, if not, apples and oranges.. not part of the discussion. I'd expect BA and MBA business people to run a business and the same could be said for DBA.
    2. No it can't because you know outright as a celebrity that whatever you're doing as a celebrity is going to pay you far more than any job in academia. If you're going to go on for a higher credential, if that learning is going to have real merit, you have to have skin in the game.

My issue is with those who do the work, then go back to doing what they were doing. Transformative process stalled.

MIT's admissions are completely blind. It costs them a lot of money when an alum gets pissed that his/ son/daughter doesn't get in. Point is, doesn't matter who will smith's mom knew, wouldn't have helped him get in. Not saying he couldn't have, but the facts that his mom knew someone in admissions and he's black would have had no impact on his admissions decision.

One way or another, I stand by my previous statement that Will Smith is definitely a smart guy. About the only thing in the world that the man has no talent in is rapping. Not like talent matters in the hip hop world anyway.

That song came out over 20 years ago, and they STILL play it frequently every summer. I crank it up on my radio every time it come on.

I would love to see the expression on a tenured MIT professor's face grading papers with phrases like, "Gettin jiggy wit it."
