    Principal defends degree
    • "(Mims) has evidence of course work completed for the University of Monterey," Superintendent Dr. John Key said. "Before he graduated, he was notified by that organization that they were having administrative difficulties and he needed to seek another university where he could complete his degree."
    Could this be MIGS?

Opinion piece from The Daily Dispatch:
    • That an educated person - and one who judges whether others should be allowed to educate the public - could be taken in by a scam degree factory is alarming. What does that say for the average person, who hopes to further their careers by adding college degrees or professional certifications, but who don't have such ready access to the facts that should've sent up red flags to a man like Davis that his degree was a farce?

Re: Canadians do not approve either

What a great article. It is so unfair many of us are trying so hard to get a real degree only to compete against these charlatans for jobs.

    Thanks degreeinfo!!!!!!!! :)

"Georgia to set rules for degrees" article

Another article by Jaime Sarrio came out in the Gwinnett Daily Post today: Georgia to set rules for degrees.

  8. SRU grads - beware!

So.... what I take away from this last post by G is that if other states are going to now take a new look at recent credentials and the process that was used to evaluate "foreign degrees", there may be a few more SRU "educated" teachers in these other states who may need to look over their shoulders.

Wow. I sense a landslide of problems coming for those SRU "grads" who actually are using their "degrees" in the workplace, and have so far gotten away with it. BOOM!

Here's hoping the lurkers from SRU who read this board religiously will wake up and smell the coffee before they all land in jail. If there's one thing you don't want to mess with, it is the bureaucracy of state teacher certification/credentialing - hell hath no fury like a bureaucrat who was misled.

    lawsuit?

I keep looking but I never see where SRU is going to Sue the state of Georgia. I knew that someone mumbled about it once, but nothing in the papers yet......

    Re: lawsuit?

Do you really think that Saint Regis would really want the kind of exposure of there being no doubt that it is a diploma mill? Going to court would make that abundantly clear.

However, should SRU truly believe that it offers a quality education, I'm sure it's already in touch with their lawyers. Otherwise, we can assume the worst in regards to the quality of its programs.
