I know this question has probably been asked before, but which of the big three offers the most credits for taking the GRE in mathematics exam?
A minute og googling reveals: this from www.bain4weeks.com "Excelsior College is the only institution to award enough credit for a GRE subject exam, to meet all requirements of a major or to trigger conferral of a second degree based solely on one's performance in that exam." And from Excelsior themselves: "Excelsior College uses a graduated scale to award credit for each GRE Subject Test, with credit awards ranging from 3 semester hours up to 30 semester hours. The faculty has judged that a maximum award of 30 semester hours of credit is appropriate, and that the amount of credit awarded should reflect your level of achievement on the examination. Because students earning higher scores are demonstrating a greater mastery of the information in courses, these students earn larger amounts of credit. A student earning a score at the 80th percentile or above will earn up to 30 credits. The first 12 credits awarded will be lower-level, reflecting the introductory courses in the field; the last 18 credits will be upper-level, reflecting the advanced courses in the field." 80th percentile on the math subject test would be very difficult indeed.
Thanks...I should have thought to look there...my son scored in the 87% in math on the SAT's, so I believe it is possible...maybe
