    Aspen University MBA Graduate and NCU doctorate learner David E. Lady has been appointed to the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Marriott Vacation Club, a $2.5 billion dollar business unit of Marriott International. David will be responsible for developing a multi-year technology strategy targeted to meet the companies required capabilities and long-term growth objectives. These responsibilities include the companies Advanced Technology Groups (ATG). MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL, INC. (NYSE: MAR) is a leading lodging company with nearly 2,800 lodging properties in the United States and 67 other countries and territories. The company is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and had approximately 151,000 employees at 2006 year-end. It is ranked as the lodging industry's most admired company and one of the best companies to work for by FORTUNE®. The company is also a 2006 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR® Partner. In fiscal year 2006, Marriott International reported sales from continuing operations of $12.2 billion.

    Congratulations!!! Education is important, but most of us are also looking for ways of using non-traditional education to propel our careers. It's great news to hear that you are being placed in this position.

    Did going for your DBA play any in the decision? Or was being an all around great guy enough on its own? :D

    I worked the pursuit of the DBA into every conversation I could. The all around great guy was obvious to them I believe. :)
