We haven't had a lot to say about GWU as a DL provider but perhaps we should give them a peek. They seem to be developing some new programs. Distance learning pads enrollment, but increases are slowing - The GW Hatchet Here's the link to the school: Online Learning | The George Washington University One Bachelors degree (Security), a bunch of Grad Certs and Masters degrees and three Doctoral programs (Engineering, Nursing). Nice offerings from a national brand name school.
They're not cheap, at least on campus. During my time with them, their tuition rate for my specific program was 1/3 their normal tuition rate and even then it wasn't my cheapest option. Not sure whether that is still the case, or if so whether it applies to any other program there.
I investigated the GWU MS program in Project Management. It's SO expensive (~$57K). I'm a PMP and don't see the ROI at that cost.
I hadn't checked the costs but I'm not surprised to hear that they're quite high. Personally, I couldn't afford that kind of a price tag but we know that some people can and will.
They offer a administrative credential certificate for K-12 teachers at the various campus centers. Basically it's part of their masters program, but for teachers who already have a masters. They also have the classes online, as you can do the masters degree online, but you can't do the certificate online. That just bothers me a bit. Of course, the school was so pricey, that was a turnoff anyway. -Matt
