    Hello,

I have done about 30 credits at a state-approved Christian school, and I'd like to transfer to an accredited distance school (perhaps Thomas Edison). Does anyone know if they might accept such credits or at least the coursework as portfolio?

    Thanks,
    Zach

You'll have a lot more luck doing a portfolio/prior learning assessment than you would trying to transfer credit. The latter will be almost impossible.

    Good luck,

You'd probably have your best luck looking for an accredited school that was already familiar with the state-approved school - perhaps an RA Christian school of a theologically similar or compatible persuasion?

What is this portfolio/prior learning assessment. Also, what do I have to do? Please forgive me for my ignorant. I am new and I have been out of college for 30 years.

    thanks

I have thought about transferring to an accredited Christian school, but such distance programs are hard to find! So far, I've only found Moody to have a fully accredited off-site degree.

I figured that portfolio would be the way to go with a secular school - thanks for the info!
