Smug little shit! Exec who jacked up price of a lifesaving drug is arrested I thought this part was interesting: "Recently it emerged that he bought the only copy of a Wu-Tang Clan album titled “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin,” which the hip-hop group sold on the condition that it not be released publicly. He said he paid $2 million. Capers, the chief federal prosecutor, sidestepped a question about whether authorities had seized Shkreli’s album, and said: “We’re not aware of how he raised the funds to buy the Wu-Tang album.” At least he has good taste in music. On the flip side, he is a heartless beast who jacks up the price of meds for cancer and AIDS patients. Like the article said, maybe his lawyers should jack up his fees five thousand percent. Dios mios! Abner
The FBI got asked this so much that they tweeted that they didn't seize the album: FBI Tweets Joke About The Whereabouts of Pharma Bro
Hey, maybe there is something to this 'karma' stuff after all! Now, how about Calgene which makes the stuff I've been taking, which costs $11,000 a month (for 21 little pills). Insurance pays 95%, but still . . .
It has seemed like a lot of the recent news stories regarding the Police and arrests have been very negative, with wrongful arrests/convictions, mistreatment, etc. In this case it's good to see that they seem to have gotten it right and that a un-wonderful person will get some consequences.
The world is a round place, and what goes around will surely come around. I've seen it happen too many times to believe otherwise.
