Unfortunately, the PBS online episodes regarding for-profit schools do not have closed captioning and my hearing is not wonderful, so I was very happy to find the transcripts when I read them a few months back.

These two episodes, while having a lot of useful information, are serious examples of narrowly written "attack" journalism. I don't know if the Frontline staff were trying to win some extra trophies, increase ratings or simply generate controversy (looks like they've succeeded in some circles, apparently). Did they even bother trying to find success stories for these schools? All they would have had to do is search LinkedIn and search a few DL boards like these. Did they interview any HR managers who had actually hired these graduates? Again, they could have found those through LinkedIn as well. Did they spend any real time illuminating the decision-making process for people entering these schools? A little, but they were mostly focused on people who were going to have a harder time choosing the right school for them to begin with.

What I noted above is the generic, middle of the road take on how narrowly written those pieces were-- that's even before any partisan political takes one has on the subject, which I would leave to a different sub-forum. :)
