Competition is getting tougher but Argosy does have many graduates holding full time faculty positions (tenure track).

I don't see a great deal of difference between them. They are both proprietorial schools that don't seem to have very strong academic reputations. They both seem to occupy pretty much the same functional niche.

Again, I don't think so. While one can find people with ArgXsy degrees teaching out there, I'd question how many of them got their positions initially because their employers were impressed with their school's academic reputation and scholarly leadership. I'd guess that many of these people were already known to their employers and were working based on their MBAs and job experience, and then subsequently were pushed to obtain a terminal degree if they wanted to keep teaching or advance. Non-competitive situations, in other words.

If that's the case, then an NCU degree would probably work just as well. It isn't really advanced scholarship that's sought, but just a doctoral degree title with (sometimes) the right accreditation. (We've seen masters-qualified teachers getting terminal degrees from places like pre-DETC Cal Coast too.)
